A Tail Of Disrepuuurr
From the 31st of January till the 2nd of February I took part in the global game jam to make a game based on the theme 'repair' in 48 hours. A Tail Of Disrepuuurr is a game where your evil cat has trashed your flat and you have to fix everything to bring colour back to your life (literally).
I, along with another sound designer, created and recorded sound effects and music for the game using FMOD and Unreal Engine. The music begins by sounding very messy and disjointed but as you clean your flat, the music pieces itself together to create a sense of calm in your newly tidy and painted flat. This was achieved by using a Markov chain in FMOD with a parameter of 'tidiness' to control the probability of the markers.
